Natural dark brown, LadyGaga brings the platinum blonde hair from the beginning of musical career, making it almost a trademark, but - according to her - her hair are going to throw in the towel, threatening to baldness.

Splurge on a handbag from Marc by Marc Jacobs

You can tell a lot about a woman by her handbag.

The woman who carries this Marc by Marc Jacobs handbag appreciates the classics. The bag's styling and silhouette will be in vogue forever.

This woman appreciates the sense of fun that the bag's lining -- brightly striped cotton -- radiates.

And she appreciates the bag's versatility, the way it looks just as fabulous with her new blue- and white-striped sailor top and wide-leg white jeans as it does with her A-line Jackie shift dress.

Available in this crisp Gettysburg blue, the Bianca Satchel is made from leather and straw. It comes with a removable shoulder strap and is perfect for spring and summer.

The honey won’t be sold: it will be given to friends and family of the company.

Voici: George & Eli to split?

French magazine 'Voici' titles: "Just fiction". After a relation of 2 Years the duo formed by the american Movie Star and the ex-Soubrette is still unable to convince friends about an authenticity of feelings.
Due to overdue privacy or something unsaid...? "Voici" is sure there is none love story between George and Eli, furthermore the relation is ruled under a well established "gentlemen agreement".

No No common projects, none flirt, passion down to zero and mostly in correspondance of red carpets and events. "It looks more like business agreement" french firm writes.
For sure this gossip is not new, rumors are on the way since the very early relationship.

After all the "bad" hypothesis by the french magazine we could value: "Isn't that an example of typical French envy due to the hystorical rivality between French and Italians?
After all Italian beauties recently went to France relevant position too: Ms. Carla Bruni and the iconic Monica Bellucci.

Quake victims have pal in Lady Gaga

While at the site, don't forget to pick up other Gaga merchandise, such as a tee emblazoned with the words "I'm a free bitch."

At least Gaga's using her immense power for good, rather than evil. Other celebrities decided to use the Japanese earthquake to prove how horrible they actually are...

Katie Price is reportedly set to anger ex-husband Peter Andre when she reveals that she is planning to make a move to Hollywood.

Sources close to the former glamour model told a Sunday newspaper that Katie has been viewing luxury mansions with a view to moving her family over to the States.

It has been claimed that Price has been in talks with bosses at Paramount Pictures about making a blockbuster based on her life story.

A source told the Sunday Mirror: "Pete will not be happy when he finds out Katie is planning this.

"At the moment they live half-an-hour away from one another in the UK so handing over the kids is straightforward.

"But if Katie decided she wanted to live eight hours away it would make things a whole lot more complicated."

They added: "Pete wants the children to feel settled in the UK after everything that has happened since he and Katie split."

Sean Penn and Scarlett Johansson flirting or friendly?

Story Image

While the public may be surprised by the budding romance between Scarlett Johansson, 26, and Sean Penn, 50, Hollywood folks who know the two stars think it could be a perfect match.

“There may be a generational gulf there, but trust me, Scarlett and Sean are more alike than

you’d think,” said a longtime Johansson associate.

“Both are very cerebral and intense, but more important, the two of them are all about the work. They both are tough, totally career-focused, no-nonsense people. … I also think they were attracted to each other by their innate bitchiness,” the source added with a laugh.

“Ryan Reynolds [the husband she’s divorcing] was too nice for her. Plus another thing Scarlett and Sean share: A total, deep-seated hatred for the media!”

† On a more positive note, a close Penn pal said Saturday, “You can tell that Scarlett is in total awe of Sean — and he respects the fact that she is as sharp and funny as she is beautiful and sexy. Not a bad combination.”...further gossip on http://tinyurl.com/6d7tytn

Mel Gibson plans to re-launch Hollywood career

London, March 13 (ANI): Mel Gibson, whose career took a backseat after being accused of attacking his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, is now planning to re-launch his Hollywood career.

The troubled film star is planning to revamp his career by playing a psychotic executive on screen.

His bizarre film 'The Beaver', co-starring and directed by Jodie Foster, was put on ice after he was accused of attacking ex Grigorieva and mum of his daughter Lucia, last year.

It will now debut at a film festival in Austin, Texas, next week after Gibson, 55, was put on probation for three years by an LA court.

Gibson, who shocked Hollywood last year with racist and sexist rants, has to attend domestic violence counselling.

"He is anxious to put all this behind him and focus on his career," the Daily Star quoted a source close to him as saying.

John Galliano scandal puts spark back into Paris fashion week

Dior designer's indiscretion may have hit the big names, but the minnows see a silver lining

It was the most spectacular and scandalous Paris fashion week in years, and many of the big names – not least John Galliano – were left counting the cost.

However, for many designers less well-known outside the rarefied world of fashion, sensational headlines brought a potentially profitable silver lining. One such was Haider Ackermann, an independent designer who has been described by some fashionistas as "the new Yves Saint Laurent" and is being tipped for the top job at Dior.

"It was a very bizarre fashion week, but a very good one for us," said Katou Brandsma, who represents Ackermann. "Everyone was congratulating us. We had buyers from shops, like Barneys in New York, we've been waiting for 10 years to turn up to our shows. Our designs stood out because everyone else – apart from McQueen – was so boring."

Among the other designers to reap the rewards of the unusually scrutinised fashion week was the Italian-Japanese designer Nicola Formichetti, who counts Lady Gaga among her fans and was widely congratulated for her debut collection for Thierry Mugler.

Following unconfirmed reports that she had been chosen to design Kate Middleton's wedding dress, British creator Sarah Burton's collection for the label of the late Alexander McQueen also drew plaudits.

Some observers had feared that the aftermath of Galliano's dramatic firing from Dior – for allegedly making antisemitic comments in a drunken rantin a Paris bar – would result in a fashion week dominated by scandal rather than sartorial fireworks. Their worries were not soothed by the hullabaloo greeting Kate Moss's appearance on the catwalk smoking a cigarette. One writer at the event, who declined to be named, said his editor demanded: "Give us a good story about fashion week, but don't bother about the clothes."

For the unluckiest on the French capital's fashion circuit, the controversy did indeed spell disaster: Brussels-born designer Anthony Vaccarello's show was scheduled for the first day of the week – the same day, it transpired, that Galliano was fired. Vaccarello, remarked the New York Times, had a "fine presentation whose fate it was to be forgotten instantly".

Others, however, remain convinced that a good dose of publicity never did any harm. Dana Thomas, a Paris-based fashion writer and author of Deluxe: How Luxury Lost its Lustre, said the fall-out from l'affaire Galliano and the subsequent rumours of musical chairs at the big-name fashion houses had produced a "win-win situation"...

She smokes for Vuitton

Supermodel Kate Moss has defied the French smoking ban by lighting up a cigarette as she walked the runway during a Paris Fashion Week show.
Now the question is: would you get cancer for luxury?

We want Luxury. Forget the Gap

Consumers are ready for a little luxury. Despite cutting back in other areas, such as dining, they are showing a clear preference for select high-end apparel brands, such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Andrea Meli art and Burberry.

After taking a hit at the height of the recession, sales of luxury goods have rebounded strongly, up 10%-12% last year in the U.S., according to estimates by Telsey Advisory Group, a retail equity research firm. Comparatively, retail sales across the board rose just 6%.

"People are willing to pay a premium on something that delivers on luxury," noted Milton Pedraza, the CEO of the Luxury Institute, which tracks spending among wealthy consumers with a minimum annual income of $150,000. "They will buy fewer but more expensive things. There's a lot more value consciousness."

But with an eye on value, shoppers are also hunting down designer brands at steep discounts, frequenting stores such TJ Maxx and online sale sites such as Gilt Groupe.

Ed Jay, senior vice president of American Express Business Insights, calls this "the barbell effect."

Who wants to lawsuit Paris Hilton?

A $35 million lawsuit against Paris Hilton which alleged she failed to promote a range of hair extensions has been dropped. IOL pic dec17 paris hilton

The 30-year-old socialite was accused of missing a launch party for HairTech International products in 2007, and was also seen wearing a competitor’s extensions.

The company had paid her $3.5 million to be the face of their Dream Catchers range of clip-in locks.

However, the company’s founder and CEO Chris Volek has now admitted the allegations were wrong and has dropped the case against her.

The blonde star – who had countersued for $2.1 million in damages and had missed the launch party because she was in jail for violating the terms of her probation as a result of a reckless driving charge - admits she is pleased with the decision.

She said: “It is certainly not unusual for businesspeople to have their disagreements, but I am glad that Chris has acknowledged the hard work and dedication I put into promoting his products.”

Discussing why he had dropped the case, Chris – who had claimed her failure to turn up to the party had lost the company $6.6 million in lost revenue on its own – confessed the information he had received about her actions had been incorrect.

He said in a statement: “The information I received from others and on which I based the lawsuit was not accurate.” - Bang Showbiz

Legendary Fine-Jewelry Brand Marina B Relaunches

Anyone remotely familiar with the bold, iconic jewelry pieces designed by Marina Bulgari back in the 1980s, when disco dancing was still king, may remember the meteoric rise of her eponymous fine-jewelry line called Marina B, which became the first “it” jewelry brand.

From the 1980s to the late 1990s, Marina B was worn by international jet setters whose playgrounds included Ibiza, Saint-Tropez, and St. Moritz, and by movie stars like Sophia Loren. Marina B was years ahead of her time with jewelry that transcended chic.

With her legendary jewelry-dynasty heritage, Marina B’s marketing strategy had her own jewelry designs on celebrities, making her the forerunner of all the celebrity stylists who do red-carpet award-show accessories for their movie-star clients.

Marina B’s distinctive fine jewelry is set to make a comeback with its relaunch in the United States this spring by Windsor Jewelers, Inc. The modern motifs of her designs, which use 18-karat yellow gold, diamonds, and semiprecious gemstones, are considered timeless by collectors.

Her designs, which will be re-created to the exact specifications of her sketches, which are owned by Windsor Jewelers, Inc., are strong and stylish without appearing to be “dated.”

Now living in Monte Carlo, Marina Bulgari hails from one of the world’s famous jewelry dynasties and created jewelry for Bulgari until the mid-1970s. The new Marina B collection will be largely based on the best archive pieces and designs of Marina B, according to Trends and Colours (www.CIJintl.com). Marina B herself identified the pieces as her bestsellers.

Paul Lubetsky, the CEO of Windsor Jewelers, Inc., is a passionate fan and collector of Marina B’s designs and is in charge of the brand’s launch. He has sought out Marina B’s original jewelers in Italy to make the pieces in order to bring the brand full circle.

Marina B’s distinctive designs and craftsmanship will fill a gap in today’s jewelry market.

Clint Arthur settles lawsuit against Louis Vuitton over MOCA sale of 'limited edition' Murakami art

ClintArthurStefanoPaltera Clint Arthur and Louis Vuitton have settled the highly unusual lawsuit the Los Angeles man brought against the luxury goods seller after he became disenchanted with artworks by Pop artist Takashi Murakami that he'd bought at a boutique Louis Vuitton had set up during the 2007-08 Murakami exhibition at L.A.'s Museum of Contemporary Art.

Arthur became suspicious that the two limited edition works he'd bought for $6,000 each might not be quite so limited -- and as it turns out, they were literally cut from the same cloth as mass-produced canvas handbags that Murakami had designed for Louis Vuitton.

But Arthur's federal suit lost most of its potential financial bite when a judge in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles ruled there was no fraud involved in Louis Vuitton's not specifying that the Murakami canvases were handbag material.

Arthur settled in mid-December for what Louis Vuitton had offered from the start: a $12,000 refund, plus interest. But documents in the case contain some interesting details about Murakami's process, and the settlement still leaves open the question of whether Louis Vuitton is vulnerable to a follow-up suit by the California attorney general or L.A.'s city attorney or the county district attorney for having possibly violated the state Fine Prints Act.

Click here for the full story, and here for details on how Murakami turned 214 pieces of handbag material worth less than $100 each into $1.4 million, while apparently barely looking at them.

DIOR: who's next?

Who will be Dior’s next designer? That’s the question some of the world’s most influential fashion players are asking in the wake of the renowned French label’s fall 2011 runway show, where disgraced designer John Galliano was notably absent.

Galliano, who was fired this week for anti-semitic comments, held what is considered a plum gig in the fashion industry. Christian Dior is a billion-dollar global brand that turned Galliano into a power player when he joined the house 15 years ago. WWD, the fashion world’s trade newspaper, reported Friday that London bookies are placing bets on who might be Galliano’s successor. Here we dissect some of the names being thrown into the ring as possible contenders:

Haider Ackermann

The Colombian-born designer is a budding star in Paris. His clothes are edgy and modern yet poetically romantic. Last year, he brought his collection — which is sold at 119 Corbo in Yorkville — to Toronto for a fashion show at the ROM. But as accolades pour in for this charming gentleman’s work, it’s unclear whether he’s ready for the big leagues. Some insiders speculate he might not be ready to divide his attention between his carefully nurtured label and a behemoth like Dior.

Riccardo Tisci

He is the current darling of Paris and the favourite to land the gig. Givenchy, where he currently works, is owned by LVMH, the luxury conglomerate that also owns Dior. If executives move him over he will be following a similar career path to Galliano’s. But unlike Galliano, Tisci is seen as non-controversial yet able to turn out red-hot and coveted collections. The other factor in his favour: he also works in couture. Not all designers are trained in the rarefied world of incredibly labour-intensive one-of-a-kind outfits. And Dior is one of the few houses in Paris still producing couture collections.

Alber Elbaz

Elbaz has done wonders for the house of Lanvin, successfully rejuvenating this historic French label. And the masses love his work: his recent collaboration with H&M was a blockbuster. Think of what he would be able to do with money-making fragrances and accessories at Dior.

Marc Jacobs

A design demigod, Jacobs generates an incredible amount of press for his Marc Jacobs line in New York and Louis Vuitton in Paris. The latter is also owned by the company that owns Dior, so he’s already part of the stable. Would the powers that be consider moving one of their prized talents over to Dior? Could be tricky, since it would create another headache for them to fill his rather big shoes at LV. But installing such a big name at Dior might just wipe the slate clean and eradicate Galliano from memory.

Clooney of the Century Feat. Eli

"Eli" (nick for Ms.Elisabetta Canalis) is setting up the most surprising Hollywood party in occasion of George's 50s birthday. May we hazzard a question? Is Mr. Clooney happy to get 50...OLD?
BTW Happy Birthday George!
George Clooney’s girlfriend is planning "the party of the century" to celebrate his 50th birthday. The Hollywood hunk hits the landmark age on May 6 and Elisabetta Canalis is determined to make it the best birthday he has ever had. She has already started organising the bash as she wants to make it perfect, and ensure all George’s friends can be there to help him celebrate. “Elisabetta has her own money, and she’s paying for the party of the century,” a source told In Touch Weekly. “She really wants this to be the best night of George’s life.” Among the guests who have already been invited are Brad Pitt and his partner Angelina Jolie, Julia Roberts, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. Many others stars are also expected to attend. At the moment it is unknown whether Elisabetta wants the party to be themed, although it is believed she wants it to be a lavish affair. The actor and Italian TV presenter began dating in 2009, and are very happy together. They get on well, with Elisabetta admitting George sometimes has to reassure her about their relationship. Since they began dating there have been almost constant rumours the pair are planning to tie the knot or have kids – Elisabetta recently insisted they will never start a family – which the female star finds tough. “There are some people who just don't want to see me happy. It might seem a cliché, but unfortunately it is true: the Italians never support their own citizens who earn an opportunity or recognition abroad,” she said. “I sometimes feel insecure, but if you are loved then you always feel great. [George] reassures me all the time. He is very close. I feel more embraced than ever before.”

O.K. Ms. Portman, we all blame on Galliano unhappy moment, and he's paying for...but would you stop wearing his gorgeous dresses?
Oscar-winning actress Natalie Portman, who promotes perfume for the fashion label Dior, has condemned its British designer John Galliano over a widely distributed video that purportedly shows him making an anti-Semitic tirade.
Christian Dior has suspended star fashion designer John Galliano pending an inquiry into allegedly anti-Semitic remarks, it said on Friday. Galliano was escorted home by French police late on Thursday after a drinking session that ended with him hurling insults at a couple, according to a police source.

Portman, who won an Academy Award on Sunday for Best Actress and is Jewish, said she would not be associated with Galliano, in a statement carried by the New York Times.

“I am deeply shocked and disgusted by the video of John Galliano's comments that surfaced today,” Portman said. The paper said the statement had been released late on Monday in Los Angeles.

“In light of this video, and as an individual who is proud to be Jewish, I will not be associated with Mr Galliano in any way. I hope at the very least, these terrible comments remind us to reflect and act upon combating these still-existing prejudices that are the opposite of all that is beautiful.”

It was not clear how Portman's contract with Dior might be affected.

Galliano, one of the world's top designers known for his dramatic shows and flamboyant style, was suspended by Christian Dior on Friday, hours after a couple complained that he had shouted racist and anti-Semitic insults at them while out drinking in Paris's hip Marais district.

Roberto Cavalli and Giorgio Armani closed Milan Fashion Week with fabulous collections

Roberto Cavalli and Giorgio Armani marked the end of Milan Fashion Week with spectacular collections at the weekend.

Roberto's collection - Just Cavalli - stayed true to form with animal prints, a Cavalli catwalk would be uncomplete without them.

An Ugly Betty-esque touch of demure frumpiness was added to the ensembles, with hippie-style tiered chiffon dresses and smocks featuring paisley prints.

Former Destiny's Child star Kelly Rowland attended the glamorous event and was photographed with the designer backstage.

Also bringing fashion week to a close was Giorgio Armani who said his collection "cleverly emphasises the beauty of the body, but never flaunts it."

The show embodied alluring femininity, all the while exuding Armani's trademark 'modern elegance'.

The 76-year-old also injected an element of fun into the proceedings, with a model gracing the catwalk in a t-shirt seemingly bearing the designer's face.

Soul 'diva' Tina Turner – a long-standing fan of Giorgio's work - watched from the front row and deemed the collection "totally fantastic – as always."

Bulgari to open hotel in London’s Knightsbridge | News | Retail Jeweller

Bulgari Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement to open a Bulgari Hotel in London’s Knightsbridge, which will have design elements harking back to its silversmith origins.

The luxury hotel, which is due to open in spring 2012, is the third hotel project of Bulgari Hotels & Resorts, following the opening of the Bulgari Hotel in Milan in 2004 and of the Bulgari Resort in Bali in 2006. The Bulgari Hotel in London was designed by the renowned architectural firm Antonio Citterio, Patricia Viel & Partners, with Squire and Partners as the local architect for the project.

The hotel will feature contemporary style and design, with sleek lines and refined colour combinations created using a variety of marbles, fine woods, and unique details. Silver will be the dominant theme of the interior design.
The brand said the use of silver in the design is a tribute to Bulgari’s origins as a silversmith and to Britain’s “noble manufacturing traditions”.

The hotel will feature 85 rooms and suites, including seven luxury 200 sq m Bulgari suites. The brand is aiming for its restaurant and bar to become the destination of choice in Knightsbridge. The hotel will feature a large ballroom, a private cinema and a 2,000 sq m spa and fitness centre with 25m indoor pool. It has already been awarded Best Hotel and Best Development at the prestigious UK Property Awards 2010 in association with Bloomberg Television.

Kirsten Dunst Poses Nude With a Lion in Bulgari Mon Jasmin Noir Fragrance Ad

Kirsten Dunst sizzles in Bulgari's new Mon Jasmin Noir fragrance ad campaign. Courtesy photo

We've been waiting to see how new Bulgari face Kirsten Dunst would fare in the sultry wake of predecessor Julianne Moore's nude ads for the same fragrance house.

With hot-off-the-presses released photos for the new Mon Jasmin Noir fragrance, it looks like Ms. Dunst won't have much more of a wardrobe department bill either.

Swathed in lilac gemstones straight out of Bulgari's Mediterranean Eden Collection, only the 28 year-old's nude bum is wrapped in sheer chiffon fabric, with a mega-sized bottle strategically placed over her center.

But what's most striking to those who remember both ads is the fact that Bulgari has paired Dunst with the regal king of the jungle, while Moore is relegated to playing cutesy with fuzzy little baby cubs.

Could it be a subliminal message that Dunst is roaring ahead, the seductress lead of the pack? And at the age of 50, is there a reason Moore is presented alongside little cougars in her sensually intriguing poses?

We're guessing it's secret de Bulgari.

The new April campaign was shot in Florence, Italy's rich Boboli Gardens, and was photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot. Dunst lays out in the lush gardens for all of the shots, covered in little more than gemstones and warm mid-day sun.

How very Roman.
